| NOTE: Two Chinese Crane Forms are introduced around Gokyu, and these are Golden Crane; and, White Crane. These are not promotion requirements so much as they are supplemental. Also, by Sankyu, people are expected to know the following kobudo kata: Daichi no Kon; Daini no Kon; Tenryu no Kon; Sochin no Kon. At Shodan and above, students are expected to add Tokume no Kon; Sushi no Kon; and Chou no kon. We have also integrated some Matayoshi Kobudo kata in addition to Sushi no Kon and Chou no Kon--they include: Daiichi Sai; Sancho Sai; as well as one Tonfa and one nunchaku kata. |
